Balloon Tank (Inges Idee, Hans Hemmert, Germany 2007)

Many people decide to do things differently when it comes to the art world, they use unusual mediums, techniques, context. A medium like balloons more people are using them within there artworks and exhibition they give a sense of life, something temporary that can seem beautiful at the start but then slowly they start to shrink and deflate, a transience of time.

The work of art in particular i am talking about comes from a group of German artists Inges Idee (Art in public space) in particular the artist Hans Hemmert, in 2007 he produced a life size model of a ww1 tank (German Panther) it is accurate and colourful, it is funny to think what we are capable or producing with some rubber and air.

Here are some pictures of the work, and there is a link along the side to see the full set of photos from its prime, to its deflation.
